Hill-Billy Elegy & The Discounted Price of WAR!

Words slung in anger, intended to cut deeply

Words carefully crafted with delicious malice, placed on immortal tablets to poison the soul and wound the spirit

Swords drawn at the ready

Massive hands clenched wickedly into battering fists

The eyes, the heart and the mind, all devoted to one uncommon evil purpose

To do harm and inflict any manner of pain

Blood is drawn and tasted

Salty, but less filling

The thirst for more, lingers still

The lust for even more blood is unassuaged

And the savagery POTENTIALLY continues unabated

In time, sapped energies and wasted resources recede with FOREBODING WINDS

NEAR THE SALTY WATERS OF THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ THAT REMAIN TREACHEROUS, STILL

So do some grounded rhetorics that had once taken wings

Practical words, once discarded, are soon embraced

With vigor, with passion, with logic, and fervent hope

And with renewed urgency of purpose

The contrived inspiration to AGAIN CYNICALLY quest for peace is launched

Perhaps to save a face once filled with FERAL HATE,

PERHAPS EVEN THE FACES OF SOME STILL OPENLY OR DISCREETLY CHANTING, DEATH TO AMERICA

And to now belatedly glorify the wisdom of dialogue

That once was mocked as the opium of SOME WOKE WEAKLINGS

But the stubborn tardiness of tactical retreat on all sides, strategically proves COSTLY nevertheless

Soon enough, potentially worse conflagration and pain may yet be unleashed

Even as the realization of repeated errors mock the mind with belated wisdom

But egos and rage are soon stoked and fired up

In the wake of obsequious palace hands, and some misguided death-angels earning their keep

And the SEASON OF RECURRING WARS is again vengefully unleashed

To fulfill the painful destiny of Careless Chicken-Hawks, and Democracy's FOOLS

Wars fought with bitter rage, soon end with calm DIALOGUE

Wars unwaged, remain averted, in the wake of earnest DIALOGUE

When mere concern with silly appearances is permitted

To enrage and lure fools to engage in needless battles

Such non-strategic, self-indulgent WAR, SOON UNLEASHED, INSTIGATED, OR JOINED,

VERILY BECOMES THE UNAVOIDABLE DESTINY OF FOOLS!!!
